Tens of thousands have also been forced to evacuate as a fire in Pacific Palisades spreads uncontrolled.

Locals recorded their hometown’s burning as even celebrity homes were emptied by the inferno sweeping across parts of Los Angeles.

Even celebrities in the affluent area were forced to evacuate their multi million dollar mansions.

Actor James Woods shared the terrifying moment the fires blazed over the deck and pool of his home.

It comes as…

His video, shared on X, showed how the thick smoke and hellish red hue from the flames made his view barely visible.

Other horrifying videos also showed how non-celebs either fled or became trapped in the apocalyptic nightmare.

One man showed how the inferno raged just metres from his house in the affluent neighbourhood and engulfed his yard.

With floor to ceiling glass windows, the full length of the flames can be seen just feet from his kitchen table and couch in the lounge.

Some of the flames reach several meters high and angrily flick back and forth as strong gusts blow them around.

The man can be heard telling his dog: “You’re going to be okay, alright?”

He tells the other man to stay away from the windows.

The pair and their pet were later able to make it to safety, reports say.

Hurricane-strength winds, which can be heard in the video, have caused the fire to spread quickly and meant firefighters were not able to use air support to control the blazes.

Another clip showed a pair of friends in a home north of Rustic Canyon.

The video begins by showing the next door property completely ablaze.

The fire alarm can be heard ringing as the two decide to leave and run out of the home.

One says: “Let’s get out of here, we tried, sorry bro, we tried our best.”

When they get outside, embers are flying through the air and trees in the neighborhood have caught on fire.

Another heartbreaking video showed locals cutting their horses free and releasing them before the fires caught up.

A man and woman were seen desperately escorting three of their animals down a burning road.

Neighborhoods around the wildfire have also been seen frantically preparing for the worst as the blaze continues to spread.

A video caught a bulldozer pushing abandoned cars out of the way to make space for firetrucks and fleeing residents.

Actor Steve Guttenberg urged locals to leave their keys in their cars so they can be moved out of the away.

He said: “What’s happening is people take their keys with them as if they’re in a parking lot. This is not a parking lot. We really need people to move their cars.”

A state of emergency has been issued by Mayor Karen Bass with President Joe Biden also offering the federal government’s support.

Four named fires have erupted in LA – with the largest in the western neighborhood of Pacific Palisades starting on Tuesday.

That fire is currently “zero per cent” contained, according to the LA County Fire Department.

Firefighters were reportedly heard over the radio stating water supplies in hydrants were running low, according to The LA Times.

One firefighter was heard saying: “The hydrants are down.”

Another reported: “Water supply just dropped.”

Celebrities like Mark Hamill, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, along with Travis Barker’s kids Alabama and Landon have all evacuated.

The area is home to dozens of A-listers including Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

The Palisades Fire has now spread some 3,000 acres backed by 100mph gusts and reached the neighboring celeb haunts of Malibu and Santa Monica.

Weather forecasters think the “worst is yet to come” as a dry windstorm is expected to last for days.

Horrifying aerial footage has shown the massive scale of the blazes.

The terrifying video was filmed by a passenger aboard a flight out of LAX Airport.

He said: “8:15pm – Marilou, Trixie & I arrive at Chelsea’s house in Hollywood. Most horrific fire since ’93. Stay safe.”

Reality couple Spencer Pratt and Heide Montag – who met on The Hills in the noughties – were among those whose homes were destroyed.

Sources told TMZ that their family home was burnt to the ground after catching fire yesterday.

Thankfully, the pair and their two sons were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day, and were not there when the blaze broke out.

However, the family are said to be “distraught” by the loss of their beloved home.
